Workshop Description:The primary message of Cecile LaRochelle’s classes is that singing is as natural as speaking. She uses a revolutionary vocal training technique learned from Seth Riggs (considered by many to be the best voice teacher in the world), that maximizes vocal abilities in any style of singing.
Using this Speech Level Singing (SLS) method, students will approach singing holistically, learning to relax the body through simple yoga practices and concentrated breathing techniques. Freeing the natural voice with exercises that will, with repetition, become incorporated into the body's memory reflex system will allow you to become comfortable and relaxed in any musical situation.
SLS will improve your voice, allowing you to sing safely and with greater range. This training technique maximizes vocal abilities in any style of singing from R&B, gospel, and jazz to pop rock and musical theatre.

Cecile LaRochelle
With more than 25 years' experience as a successful performing artist, songwriter and vocal producer, Cecile LaRochelleis a singer whose path crosses the streams of jazz, R&B, pop, blues, gospel and musical theatre.
She is an experienced teacher with a BA in voice as well as being certified in the revolutionary Speech Level Singing technique. Cecile is passionate about this vocal technique and teaching it others. She works with aspiring vocalists/actors or voice-over artists through LaRochelle Vocal Studio in Vancouver.
As an SLS instructor, she continues with ongoing study, master classes and seminars in Los Angeles, and annual testing in the Speech Level Singing technique. She also studies privately with teachers in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas.
