Arts Denman strives to bring quality Arts programming to the Denman Island community and the surrounding areas.

Concerts Denman

This popular concert series is now heading into its 18th season.  Concerts are held at the Denman Island Community Hall and present music, dance and theatre performances by national and international touring artists.

The Readers' and Writers Festival, 2008

The 6th Annual Denman Island Readers and Writers Festival moves on from an incredibly successful event in 2007 to an even better 2008. 

Once again the festival will feature a line-up of wonderful writers and a non-stop weekend of literary delights, including solo sessions, themed readings and main-stage events going every day. For those who want to improve their own skills the festival offers a wide variety of workshops offered by renowned teachers.

Arts Denman Studio Tour, 2006

Arts Denman hosted the second annual Studio Tour on Saturday July 22. This unique tour featured local artists making functional, non-functional and decorative works of art. Free to the public, the Studio Tour was a wonderful opportunity to watch artists at work in their own studios, or to purchase original and limited edition works of art.

We are taking a break in 2007, but the tour will be back in the Summer of 2008. Artists' studios are frequently open to the public, however, so make sure to keep an eye out for Studio signs when visiting on Denman.
