How to find us...

Denman Island is a ten minute ferry ride from Buckley Bay on Vancouver Island. Within a few minutes of arriving, you will find yourself in Denman Village, a cluster of shops and businesses that form the "downtown". The Denman Island Arts Centre is conveniently located in the heart of the downtown area, easy walking distance from most amenities.

The Buckley Bay ferry terminal is located on the east coast of Vancouver Island, midway between Courtenay and Nanaimo. The ferry runs hourly for much of the day. The Ferry Schedule is available on the BC Ferries website.

Day travellersmay choose to leave their vehicles at Buckley Bay and walk on the ferry. It is a short distance to the Arts Centre, but be aware that it is an uphill walk.

Overnight guestswould be advised to check with their B&B hosts to determine if they will need transportation while on the Island. There is no public transportation available.

From Comox or Courtenay Take Highway 19 south. The old highway is a pleasant drive, and is only 20 minutes from the outskirts of Courtenay.

From Nanaimo, BC Take Highway 19 north. The Buckley Bay turnoff is approximately an hour's drive from Nanaimo.

For visitors coming from outside the Comox Valley, refer to Map 3 to locate Denman Island in relation to the major urban centres. The blue square shows the area detailed in Map 2.
