Bursaries

Arts Denman Bursary Program

Arts Denman membership fees are put into a special fund to support Denman Island residents in their pursuit of arts education. Denman Islanders of all ages may apply for a bursary for partial fees. For more information call the Arts Centre at 250 335-1224.

Donations to the Bursary Fund are accepted on an ongoing basis, please contact us for more information. The Arts Denman Bursary program is funded primarily by membership revenue.

Criteria

• Arts Education Bursaries are awarded to individuals in need of financial assistance. Organizations on Denman may also apply.
• Courses that provide technique and skill development in fine arts, crafts, and performance (e.g., voice, dance, music and theatre) are eligible for assistance.
• The award is for 50% of a workshop fee to a maximum of $50.
• Recipients must be residents of Denman Island.
• Limit of 1 bursary per person per year.

Completed applications should be mailed to: Box 23, Denman Island, V0R 1T0 or may be placed in the Freepost under Arts Denman Bursaries.
